Milestones

  • Amber Cohort III Graduates
    • Recently, the AMBER Cohorts IV graduated. The AMBER program provides 16 weeks of peer support and one-on-one coaching for small, minority owned businesses in Montgomery County. On June 7th, the graduates of this program celebrated, and MBAGP was celebrating with them. The celebration included speeches, certificates, and left the graduates with a clearer path to success. We are so happy that the AMBER program has allowed MBAGP to connect with so many different people and businesses and to leave with such important knowledge. We can’t wait to see what the graduates do next.
  • Wrapping up PGCEDC Roundtable & One on One Coaching
    • The  Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation is one that focuses on the exciting economic growth and development of the Prince George’s County area. Paired with the Greater Prince George’s County Roundtable, these groups came together for their final meeting which we were so glad to  be a part of. We have gone through PGCEDC and their One on One coaching program and are extremely grateful for the opportunities and networking that have come from them. PGCEDC has so many plans to engage with businesses and to develop each other economically. We were so excited to have experienced such a history making event.
  • Wrapping Up The AMBER Program
    • The Montgomery County Black Collective is a group that unites a large network of black people to strengthen and empower the Black Community and businesses. This group’s mission is to bridge racial inequality gaps and improve and support local black communities by pouring into black businesses and through community advocacy. MBAGP is proud to be working with this organization and their AMBER Business coaching initiative. This initiative allows for small minority owned businesses to receive coaching and strategizing from other small business owners. Recently, we wrapped up this season of the AMBER Program and are so proud of all who have graduated from this initiative and are excited to see what comes next.
  • MBCC Leadership Academy Graduation
    • The MBCC Business Leadership Academy is a 6 month long program that invests in the growth of small businesses. It provides hands-on learning experience that focuses on business ownership, growth, marketing, and operations. The program uses a blend of on-site and virtual group sessions with peer support, as well as valuable resources to equip the business leaders. Recently, our very own Mackens Audena participated in the business plan presentation for this year’s graduating class. We are excited about the potential that we saw in this year’s entrepreneurs and we look forward to continuing to partner with them on their journey of growth and success.
